"Parent's admission to hospital"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital

(as a relative),

My parent was an inpatient at Fiona Stanley hospital recently on Ward 7b then transferred to the acute medical ward after their procedure. They were in Hospital 4 nights. In that whole time they were not offered a shower or even a wash or to brush their teeth.

I understand they needed assistance to move and was deemed a falls risk. They had a bottle to go to the toilet but we had to ask them to bring them another one as they left my parent with none.

As a nurse I was horrified. What seemingly happened to the basics. My parent refused to return to FSH.

I would be hesitant if my family needed to be admitted and needed assistance.
