"MAPS program experience"

About: Osborne Park Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

Having continuity of care through a midwife was very much appreciated during my pregnancy and after childbirth. My primary midwife was Erin. It was good to see the same person during each of my check ups. Building on that relationship was great and made pregnancy and the hospital visits less daunting. Erin communicated with the nurses and midwives who had care of my during my childbirth which was excellent as it allowed me to have my much wanted early epidural. I would very much love to be part of the MAPS program for my next pregnancy. It was also very lovely for Erin to visit, conduct check ups and answer questions after the birth as well.

Dear statuskt56

Congratulations on the birth of your baby and thank you for sharing your experience with the Maternity Antenatal and Postnatal Service (MAPS) program at Osborne Park Hospital. As the MAPS program pilot is still ongoing, feedback like yours is invaluable for future service planning.

It's wonderful to hear that Erin made such a positive impact on your experience by providing such dedicated care and support. Building a strong relationship with your midwife can indeed make a significant difference, and it's evident that Erin's kindness and expertise were greatly appreciated. It's heartening to know that you would want to be part of the MAPS program for your next pregnancy.

We will certainly share your kind words with Erin. I'm sure she will be very pleased to hear how comfortable and well-cared-for you felt under her care.

Wishing you and your family all the best.

Karen
