My little girl was born early at a low birth weight via c-section when my placenta stopped working. This caused breastfeeding challenges that I as a first time mum didn’t know how to overcome. I got support from the wonderful Lactation Consultants at Breastfeeding Centre Of WA and it changed everything. I have never been met with such compassion, empathy and kindness as I have at the Breastfeeding Centre. Their guidance is completely without judgement or pressure. They would have supported me in any way possible to achieve whatever breastfeeding goal. Mine was to have a fully breastfed baby, but it never felt like this was to be the only way. The Lactation Consultants are clearly passionate about breastfeeding but above all they seemed passionate about supporting women. I am so glad I asked for help when I was in hospital and landed at Breastfeeding Centre of WA. I would have never been able to achieve my dream of breastfeeding my baby and continue to do so for as long as it suits me and my child. I cannot thank them enough!
