"Pregnancy and birth with MGP"

About: Bunbury Hospital / Maternity King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

Being a first time mum finding out I was pregnant I had no idea what steps to take next, I was advised to reach out to MGP when I first found out, and I am so glad I did.

My pregnancy was quite a challenging one (PROM at 28+6), but I had the wonderful support of Priscilla and my secondary midwife, Jo, throughout the entire journey. Even when I was rushed to King Edward’s and couldn’t see them face-to-face, Priscilla stayed in contact with me the whole time until I was transferred back to Bunbury under MGP’s care.

I cannot fault the service I received during my time at king Edward’s Perth either, they were fantastic, understanding and always very helpful.

I gave birth at 37 weeks through induction, and it was an incredibly positive experience for my first baby. I didn’t have to worry about a thing—my midwife already knew my birth plan and put everything into action seamlessly.

One of the things I appreciated most was the home visits after birth, which continued until my baby was four weeks old. Throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey, Priscilla was an incredible support—always there to listen without judgment and advocate for me 100%.

I truly can’t thank the MGP team enough. If I decide to have another baby in the future, I will absolutely be using this program again!

Dear tangoyy56,

Hugest congratulations on the birth of your first babe! It sounds like you had quite the journey which I am sure was very stressful in parts for you and your family. We are so glad to hear that you felt you were so well cared for throughout your pregnancy even though things didn't quite go to plan!

Thankyou for taking the time to write in your kind words about Priscilla, Jo and the team in Bunbury MGP. We are so grateful.

Wishing you well and hopefully a less bumpy start to motherhood!

Warm regards,

Amy Gumbrell

Dear tangoyy56

Congratulations on the birth of your baby and thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with our Midwifery Group Practice (MGP). It sounds like you had an incredibly positive experience with the MGP team! It’s clear from your feedback how the consistent and compassionate care throughout your pregnancy and birth can made such a difference to your overall experience.

Your story highlights the importance of personalised care during such a significant time, and I’m so pleased to hear that both Priscilla and Jo were so supportive and attentive to your needs. We will be sure to pass your feedback to Priscilla and Jo, and I have no doubt your gratitude will mean so much to them.

Best wishes

Karen
