"The birth of my son, with the care of my community midwives."

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Community Midwifery Program

(as a service user),

I had the most incredible home birth made possible by the community midwifery programme. From start to finish (second trimester to post partum), my care has been faultless. I felt so supported, informed, and autonomous through the pregnancy, birth and post partum period. The midwives I saw are clearly very experienced in their practice, and in my experience do all they can to help mothers achieve their desired birth. They were always a phone call away for any advice and support, and I felt a deep trust in them.

Dear neptuneer99,

What a beautiful experience you've shared! It sounds like the Community Midwifery Programme (CMP) provided you with such a nurturing and empowering journey. Continuity of care truly makes a significant difference, and it's fantastic that you felt supported and informed throughout your pregnancy and birth and post-partum.

We are very proud of the CMP and the compassionate care they provide. We will make sure to let the CMP team know how much their care meant to you.

Best Wishes

Karen
