My dad was admitted to Alexandra hospital with a viral illness, and his care from urgent care centre to discharge was impeccable.
The admitting doctor was caring and compassionate, and gave dad choices about his care. Dr Charles kept me updated with phone calls and face to face updates. The nursing staff were friendly, caring and professional. Dad felt safe, comfortable and well cared for throughout his whole stay.
His doctor kept asking if we would like dad to be transferred to Melbourne, but I felt he was so well cared for at Alexandra and didn't need any further urgent treatment. Discharge planning was put into place and physiotherapy organised to help dad get back his strength. As a Registered Nurse / Midwife I could not be happier with dad's care at Alexandra Hospital.
