I had my operation in Wonthaggi theatre and the whole process was very smooth, from admission up until discharge. Everyone I dealt with was kind, approachable and accommodating. The anaesthetist spoke to me and ran me through what will happen before I was put under anaesthesia. I woke up in recovery after my operation where I felt safe , the nurses made sure I was comfortable. I was then transferred to day surgery and the nurses were fabulous, I was taken care of and they allowed me to voice any worries and reassured me of my concerns. I also got to see the surgeon before I was discharged home which was reassuring and gave me time to ask questions about my procedure.
Over all, I had a lovely experience as a patient in Wonthaggi Hospital theatre and I would like to say a massive thank you to the nurses, doctors, ward clerk, theatre technician, instrument technician and management for making it all happen. Your kindness and dedication to your job is appreciated especially when a person is at there most vulnerable. Thank you again to the whole theatre team!
