"The Superstars of HODC"

About: Prince of Wales Hospital / L4 NCCC - Haematology Oncology Day Centre (HODC)

(as the patient),

I was blown away by the team I saw during my hospitalisation at ASB, and am blown away again by the HODC team in my follow-on care for my APML treatment.

From Dr Shivam’s haematology and oncology team, to the nursing team headed by Candice and Jed; pharmacists Alice, Deepa and team; cheerful Ryan from maintenance team; caring Magda and the administrative crew. I believe they shine with their knowledge, empathy, hardwork and professionalism. In my opinion, they are truely the superstars!

I was especially touched by their care, knowledge and patience, especially working around my allergies and tricky skin issues during treatment.

They honestly made the 7-month-long treatment that much more comfortable, happy, hopeful and bright for my family and myself.

As much as I would not like to ever end up in chemotherapy again, I miss the lovely team at HODC. I feel they are honestly such wonderful people and I will always remember them with great respect and affection.
